“This little Gospel light of mine,
I’m going to let it shine.  Let it shine
all the time. Let it shine.” Be a
Beacon for the Lord is the theme
for the school year. When this
phrase is said it should be a
reminder of the children’s song.
“All around the neighborhood, I’m
going to let it shine.” The theme is
an extension of last year’s theme
of Love is the Motive. Once love is
in our hearts and minds, we as Christians need to be a
guiding light for all people.   We are going to cast a light
for all the world to see, because of who we are and what
we stand for. We are saved through Christ’s ultimate love.

PRINCIPAL'S LETTER
St. John Lutheran School offers Lutheran Day
School from Preschool (3 & 4 year olds) through
8th grade.

Our Mission Statement is to “teach, train, and
nurture God’s Children”. Class size averages are
at sixteen in grades 1 through 8. The Preschool
and Pre-Kindergarten (4K) classes both have aides
to ensure ratios of around 10 students to 1 staff
member. One additional teacher aide is provided to
assist the primary grades and there is one teacher
English Art for the upper grades. Daily religious
instruction is held with a weekly chapel service
held each Wednesday morning.

St. John Lutheran School is an excellent school
where on a daily basis, students develop & main-
tain a close relationship with God, their peers, &
teachers. Our dedicated staff leads your child in
becoming all they can be.  At St. John we have
high academic standards & high behavioral stand-
ards. We have created a safe learning environment
where students grow in faith and knowledge. The
staff of St. John is honored as you continue to
entrust us with the academic and spiritual develop-
ment of your child. Please visit us and experience
the commitment of  St. John Lutheran Congrega-
tion and our professional staff.  Todd Pehlke
